Site Security, Electrical & Office Upgrade Project

Since 2025, My Handiman has been assisting a client with the upgrading and redevelopment of a 5,000 m² property that was purchased for commercial use. The property was previously used as a private home and already had a beautifully established garden with a unique ambience and character. A key part of the project was to upgrade the site without destroying the natural feel and welcoming atmosphere that made the property special.

Our first priority was to improve the overall security of the site. This included work on the boundary walls, alarm system, CCTV system, access control, burglar proofing, security gates, and electric fencing. The existing alarm system was upgraded to a Texecom Elite 168 system, and a full CCTV system was installed using 63 Dahua cameras connected to two NVR systems running in tandem. A 10-line electric fence was also installed around the full perimeter of the property.

As part of the physical security upgrades, My Handiman built custom burglar bars for 123 windows and manufactured four custom-designed steel gates fitted with access control. We also built new boundary walls and extended existing walls to a height that improved privacy and made unauthorised access far more difficult.

Once the security upgrades were underway, the focus moved to preparing the site for use as an office space for up to 30 people. This included creating practical driveway access, improving vehicle flow, adding clear night-time lighting, and upgrading the electrical infrastructure throughout the property. More than 160 wall plugs, 200 downlights, and 10 chandeliers were installed to support the new office layout and improve the overall appearance and usability of the buildings.

The photos above show part of the transformation of the front garden and entrance area. The images highlight the upgraded driveway, improved lighting, boundary wall extensions, electric fencing, and the carefully added driveway lights. These upgrades were completed with the goal of improving security, access, and functionality while still preserving the elegant garden setting and peaceful atmosphere of the property.
